The Tale the Towel Told

From earlier this summer, I give you a fit of boy insanity:

Here is my towel... I'm officially throwing it in.

Why you ask? Oh the same reason as usual, my continuing astonishment at the male of my species. One from the continuing saga of "What the heck are you doing?" Here's the review:

Girl meets boy, they get on well
Boy tells girl he isn't looking for anything serious (sound familiar?)
Girl is fine with that, as she doesn't know boy very well anyhow
Girl is used to seeing boys she has dated once a week (girl has a life)
This boy, who does not want anything serious, seems quite happy to see her as much as possible
As they get along very well and are rather comfortable together Girl has no issue with this, and rather enjoys it
2 weeks into non-dating boy finds out he's been assigned to a military base for 3 months to do a training
Girl is sad and sees boy much in the days before he leaves
Boy leaves on Friday
Boy calls that night to tell Girl he has leave from Sunday to Wednesday and he's coming home
Boy asks if he can stay with Girl
Girl is moving on Saturday
Girl has a fit of insanity and says he can stay with her
Boy calls at 9:30 Saturday morning to say he's leaving then
Girl suppresses a twitch and tells him she will let him know when she is free
***and yes, even though it fubars her schedule Girl is happy he's coming home***
4 days of good company follow
Boy leaves
Sad girl
Boy calls every day
Boy comes home for the night on Monday and stays with Girl
Boy leaves
Boy calls to say he's coming home for the weekend, he'll be here Friday
Boy calls to say he may be coming home Thursday...

For a guy that doesn't want anything serious and was supposed to be gone for 3 months he's around an awful lot!
