Tom: So, um, we have to break up
Cue tears
Liz: Why?
Tom: Because I’m getting back together with the mother of my child
Liz (unsurprised): Oh, okay…
Tom: But, um, can I call you later?
Liz: I guess so, why?
Tom: Because she knows I was seeing you and wants to listen in on another extension when I break up with you…so she knows I did it. But I wanted to give you the heads up.
